María has a Degree in Law from the University of Leon (1997) and a Masters in Fiscal Business Counselling from the Instituto de Empresa (1999). Maria is a member of the Madrid Bar Association.
Her areas of expertise are Commercial, Tax and International Law.
Maria’s professional experience is centred on advising businesses about tax management and foreign investment management in Spain. She is also involved in the fiscal aspects of purchase and sales transactions and the restructuring of businesses, specifically mergers, divisions, and acquisitions. Maria has been involved in numerous restructuring procedures of family businesses, advising on the protection and consolidation of the family business’ wealth, as well as estate planning for the family business.
Teaching Career: Maria has spoken at many seminars and conferences about family business taxation, and the taxation of mergers and acquisitions of family business associations, chambers of commerce, and various other business associations.
