Given the amount of news that we continue to receive, above all from Latin America, of clients to whom certain lawyers and other firms are offering the possibility of initiating new processes of Spanish nationality for Sephardics at the present time, from this legal firm we want to prevent, that these activities suppose in the majority of the cases a fraud.  Something that could be even more relevant if it were discovered that behind them there is some kind of organisation or plot dedicated to filing applications for Spanish nationality with the aim of defrauding the administration of justice in Spain. 

Therefore, only applications for nationality which were initiated before 01 October 2019 and which have been extended due to the fact that certain procedures are pending are valid and must be completed within a maximum of one year from that date.

The Spanish Ministry of Justice published last April a note warning about the irregular practices referred to above, the content of which is reproduced below because of its enormous importance and current interest.
